The author Joan Grau was born in Canet de Mar, a coastal town in the Maresme in the province of Barcelona in 1947.
He completed his first individual exhibition in the Hall of Ateneo de Arenys de Mar (1970) and Rosa Hall of his hometown (1971) also participating in other group shows during this time.
His works are in private collections in Madrid, Murcia, Albacete, Salamanca, Pontevedra, Baleares, Canarias, Tarragona, Barcelona, and so on.
In the past two years his works have been seen in Barcelona, Tarragona, Andorra, Valls (Tarragona), Montroig (Tarragona) and Igualada (Barcelona).
Its independent status has always been run too methodical teaching schools and traditional art academies. But his fascination for the Impressionists and Post-Impressionist, the who has studied deeply as Van Gogh, Gauguin, Matisse, Munch, Modigliani, Chagall and Kandinsky, and observation of his work has gained much of its knowledge.
